SHOREDITCH STREET STALL: ISLAND POT

– THE LOCATION – ★★★★★

“TASTES LIKE HOME AWAY FROM HOME”

Alike Chicken Shawarma and Drink the location of this sweet spot is pretty much perfect, located to the left of box park and situated in a lineup amongst many other stalls of inclusive of a Chicken Shawarma and Drink and A healthy fresh juice stall (which is crazily enough shaped in the likeness of an orange). I mean .. It’s Shoreditch.

 – THE PRICE – ££ ★★☆☆☆

As a savvy spender I would classify this as a lunchtime treat, It’s not cost effective enough to have everyday but it is within the price range to have at least once a week if you’re feeling extra special on any  particular day. The Menu consists of all the Jamaican favourites inclusive of Curry Goat and Rice and Peas, Jerk Chicken, Stew Chicken and more. All of which are 5.50 for a small portion with salad and 6.50 for a large. It is an extra 50p for coleslaw (which I personally think is cheeky expenditure), however. since it was my first time I was gifted this for free. Score!

– THE TASTE – ★★★★☆

IMG_1663 I am very fussy when it comes to home food. When you know what a good Caribbean meal tastes like you will accept absolutely nothing less.

The Caribbean Pot did not disappoint at all. I purchased my all time favourite ‘Curry Goat & Rice and Peas’ and honestly there was a party on my tastebuds. The Curry Goat was well seasoned and ver flavoursome. The cut of the meat was tender and supple, practically falling off the bone. Would I go back again? Yes .. yes and yes again.
